Hotel 55 was comfortable and quiet, with beds that were incredibly comfortable. The rooms felt stylish and thoughtfully laid out, and the property was spotless, beautiful and well maintained. Every part of the stay felt easy, and the staff were professional, attentive and friendly from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic, and the hotel takes real pride in looking after guests. Whether you’re in Chicago for work, a weekend away or just passing through, it’s the sort of place that makes you want to return before you’ve even checked out. Comfort, cleanliness and hospitality were all at the level I hoped for. 10/10, highly recommend, and I’ll absolutely be back.

The location was perfect, just steps from the Mag Mile, and our room was very clean. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly from the moment we checked in. We’ll stay here again.

The breakfast included at Lure Fishbar, the attached restaurant, was nice, and the service there was great. A couple of employees were friendly, but the hotel staff overall seemed unenthusiastic and made us feel like a burden. We barely saw another guest for two days. Our room was tired and falling apart: closet and furniture doors wouldn’t shut or were barely attached, ceiling paint was flaking, and window treatments were off their tracks. The photos showed nice touches that weren’t there in reality. There was no body wash, and we were told to go to the gym for water because they don’t provide refills on multi-day stays. Recognition for elite members was poor, even though I’m a lifetime Titanium member. The hotel was at 27% occupancy, and I can see why. I got a one-tier upgrade to a slightly larger interior courtyard room, basically facing another building 30 feet away. The $6 latte was steep too. I won’t stay again. There are much better options.

Rooms were modern and very clean, and the staff were nice and informative. They suggested LaScarola for dinner, and the food and atmosphere were fabulous. It’s a great hotel right in the heart of the city.

Hotel 55 had a clean lobby and rooms, and everyone was so nice. It’s in a great area. I really enjoyed my recent stay and will definitely come back.
