The room was dirty, which was especially disappointing after paying nearly $600 for one night and putting down a hefty $500 deposit. Check-in was fully self-service at a buggy kiosk, which made for a frustrating start. There were chunks missing from damaged furniture and heavy stains on the carpet. Wear and tear is one thing, but we also found other people’s hair in the shower and toilet, plus a literal toenail on the living room table. The complimentary laundry detergent pods were a nice touch and let us do laundry that night, but a free tide pod doesn’t make up for the mess. Highly disappointed, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The front desk staff are FABULOUS! My family met Eurenice and Emmy, and both were friendly, kind, accommodating and wonderful to work with. They’re hard workers, and everyone should be as kind as they are. Sentral is a nice place to stay if you want to be close to tourist attractions. The apartments are nice too, and come with a washer and dryer.

The views from our two bedroom unit were great, but my four night stay with a colleague for a medical convention was a frustrating first visit. At $430+ a night for my half, I expected much better service and an easier stay. On my second night, I came back after a long day to find no hot water in the shower. I settled for a lukewarm one, expecting better in the morning, but after running the water for about 5 minutes it was still barely warm. Meanwhile, the sink had scolding hot water, and its faucet was completely loose. The shower pressure was lousy too, with most of the water seeming to come from gravity. Functioning plumbing clearly isn’t a priority here. I was also expecting a critical, time sensitive delivery. I got a notice that it arrived at 3:09pm, then rushed back from the convention center and reached the property by 4:11pm. The package had my name, the apt. # and the correct address, but nobody could find it. One of the three people at the desk took me to the package room, where nothing was obvious. Looking closely at the tracking history showed it had gone to the Amazon locker, which is reserved for residents. The keypad didn’t recognize either my name or unit number. Sentral personnel should direct deliveries for guests and residents to the right holding place instead of being on their phones. It wasted my time and left me scrambling to replace the items on a Friday late afternoon. I’ll make a special effort to avoid this group’s locations on future trips.

We were woken on our last night by people yelling and arguing in the hallway outside our room. Through the peephole I saw a man being physically pushed into our door. I called security, and by the time they came the men were gone and only women were yelling. Security told them they were fine, then left. Earlier in the stay, two dogs on our floor barked back and forth for hours. We were also evacuated from the 20th floor because the floor smelled of smoke. We had to walk down 20 flights of stairs. I understand that evacuation wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it still sucked. The first night our room smelled like seafood and had a broken closet door. Maintenance fixed the door on day 2, but the smell remained, so we were moved to an odor-free room. The next day, the hot tub/spa was green. I have photo proof if needed. Part of why we booked this hotel was the spa, but we didn’t use it because of the color. After all that, we were given only a $50 credit and told we could come back at a discounted rate.
