Courtyard Chico

The bathroom fan didn't work, so the room stayed damp and musty. There were also lots of little broken things around the room. None was a huge problem on its own, but it got annoying for what we were paying. I've had much better stays at courtyards, and I think I'll avoid Marriott properties for a while.

It's on the outskirts of town, but Sierra Nevada Brewery is only 1.2 miles away and it's outstanding. The place was clean and comfortable, and I loved the complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby.

I booked for the indoor pool and Bistro restaurant, but neither was open during my whole stay. They told me I could use a nearby hotel's pool. Really, their indoor pool, on a 100 degree day? This was a very disappointing stay, and I'll never come back. I paid a good amount and this was the worst place I've stayed. The fridge was overheating, and the replacement still didn't keep drinks cold. The pillows were so flat they felt like no pillow at all. My key card stopped working the day before checkout. Housekeeping made the bed but didn't replace the glasses we used or clean while we were there, even though I made sure my things were picked up so they could. I attached a photo of how they made the bed one day. Marriott, I've had too many problems with your hotel lines, and won't stay at another Marriot owned hotel.

The room looked clean, but it smelled of cleaning fluid. There was nobody at the front desk to sell me water or answer the phone.
