Hampton Inn & Suites Chico

Alyssa checked us in and was a delight. Since we were on a road trip with friends, she helped us get connecting rooms. The location was great, near a mall and lots of places to eat, and Chico is beautiful. The rooms felt cozy and modern. I did find the sink faucet awkward for washing my face, and the blanket was a bit small. The person sharing my bed and I kept tugging at it, and I ended up only 25% covered. Breakfast was nice, though, and I had a good stay.

It was really cold outside, so I was glad to have the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Tess and the front desk team were considerate and helpful, and the lobby had coffee and warm cookies. The rooms were clean and nicely set up, with lovely soft water in the shower. I was in Chico for a workshop, and Hampton’s was handy for both the venue and the highway. Shops and restaurants are close by. Try Logan’s for dinner!

We were in Chico for our yearly Thanksgiving visit with family and stayed one night. We normally book an upscale historic hotel downtown, but the rates were especially high this year, so I chose the Hampton Inn after seeing its strong reviews. It’s a newer, very clean place with a roomy lobby. The staff were friendly and efficient, and there are lots of level two EV chargers outside the main entrance. We skipped breakfast but liked having what seemed to be an all-day coffee bar.

We brought our soccer team to play Chico state, and the staff made handling our group of 25 easy. The check-in attendant was great, as were the attendants over the next two days. They were accommodating without any fuss, and the breakfast staff managed the whole group smoothly. I’ll recommend this hotel to the rest of our athletic department for future stays.
