Ayres Hotel Chino Hills – Ontario

The room and the patio by the pool were great, though breakfast was bland. The next morning, while we were getting ready for a funeral, the AC stopped working. I called the desk and the attendant came right up. She was surprised how hot the room was: the thermostat was set to 62, but it was 77 inside. Maintenance wouldn’t arrive until 8, and it was only 7:30. She offered another room so we could get ready, but moving would have been a big hassle, so we stayed and endured the heat. At checkout the manager gave us 10% off. That didn’t feel like enough when our room was almost 80 degrees.

We keep choosing Ayres Hotels when we visit Southern California because the staff goes above and beyond, the place feels safe, and the breakfast beats similar hotels. There’s a good waffle selection, plus continental breakfast. On our last morning we missed the breakfast hours, but the woman making burritos was patient and still made ours. Rooms were clean, the lot was spacious with plenty of free parking, and check-in and checkout staff were welcoming and professional. The bathroom is the big concern: as mentioned before, it’s extremely slippery, and I fell twice. Rooms also aren’t soundproof, so you hear other guests and housekeeping. There are plenty of restaurants a short drive away. Some items are sold through a scan-and-pay setup, at higher prices than other hotels.

Julie made a real difference during my stay. I spoke with her by phone, and her clear communication, dedication, and problem-solving stood out. She’s a real asset to the team, and I’m grateful she went above and beyond. The hotel itself also impressed me, from the amenities to the overall atmosphere. It made for a stay that exceeded my expectations.

The pool and hot tub were clean and set in a beautiful spot, and the staff stayed friendly and helpful the whole time. The area in Chino Hills felt very safe, too. Inside, everything was spotless and nicely updated, with roomy rooms, comfortable beds, and amazing pillows. Breakfast was so good, especially the fresh burritos they made. Honestly one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, and the best hotel experience I’ve had. I’d absolutely return.
