There are cockroaches all over the enclosure beside the jacuzzi, some as big as two thumbs. They run around, jump into the pool, and come to the hot tub edge. Filthy. Other guests have also found roaches inside the building, so staff can’t say they aren’t there. Staff and maintenance won’t address it, even though it seems like an easy fix. I’m not coming back to this roach den. I complained and was a bit vocal. After that, the front desk girl took it out on us in a passive-aggressive way, booking dog guests above and beside us even though other staff said dogs weren’t supposed to be on that floor. She kept giving us dirty looks when we walked by. Sorry for complaining. Not sorry. You suck.

We spent a week here with family, from Christmas Eve to New Year Eve. The room was spacious and clean, and everything was good.

The complimentary breakfast was good, and the front desk staff were excellent. Our room was well kept, and the hotel is conveniently located for shopping and dining, with easy freeway access. We really appreciate that this brand allows pets under its policy. During the tragic, historic fire in California while we were staying there, the Hampton Inn gave pet owners a safe haven.

The staff have been great, and the location works well. There’s a Taiwanese breakfast place just across from the parking lot. I’m still so annoyed that most of the double outlets in the room only have one working socket. I was going to work out in an hour and found my phone hadn’t charged, after trying three different outlets. Why have a double plug if one socket isn’t connected? I don’t want to be unfair, so I’m giving the room 4/5, but I’m really frustrated.

There was black mold in the bathroom. The door has no sound insulation, so it sounds like it’s wide open even when it’s shut.
