The Cincinnatian Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton

This was our fourth time staying here, and it’s still convenient and reliable. Mavericks’ bartenders were awesome. They knew our usual cocktails before we’d even sat down. We had a blast and really appreciated the servers. Such a fun date night!

After a mixed visit about three years ago, I’m glad we gave The Cincinnatian Hotel (Curio Collection by Hilton) another try. The improvements were clear, and this was a great choice for our little trip. We had no complaints or issues in room 427. It was our anniversary, so we really appreciated being upgraded to a king room with a whirlpool bath. It was amazing. The service was friendly throughout. Special thanks to Mona and the front desk staff, and to the manager for the upgrade.

The Jacuzzi tub was phenomenal, the room was nice, and the gym was decent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the heat and air worked well. We visited in late November or early December, though, and cold came through the windows, which didn’t seem insulated. The blanket was nice but thin, and there wasn’t any extra linen in the room. Getting from the garage to the car was less than ideal. The elevator beside the hotel was broken, so we had to take the stairs or walk around the block to use the garage elevator on the far side. The interior lights there were broken too, making it really dark and unsafe, especially on the stairs. The garage is beside an abandoned, dilapidated building, and reaching it meant walking through an alley beside the hotel. Housekeeping took all our bath linens and didn’t replace them. I tried calling the front desk three times without getting through, so I had to go down and get some myself. We were on the eighth floor and hoped for a view, but our windows faced the derelict building next door. That was good for privacy, at least, though not pleasant to look at. The TV had only basic channels, and several were grainy or showed nothing, so there wasn’t much to watch. There was also a gas fireplace below the TV that didn’t work. My boyfriend managed to switch on a light, but it was just a steady light, presumably for looks.

I was in town for a conference and loved where the hotel is. The room was spotless, and the restaurant service was excellent. Sumit, Rylee, and Chris made fantastic cocktails for our group. We had a great time and will definitely be back next year.
