The best part of our stay was the help we got from Christopher at the front desk. I was here for work with colleagues, and the storm affected all of us. He kept helping with our requests, including calling United airlines when one colleague's luggage went missing. We really appreciated that support during a stressful time. The room was fine apart from a small, dated bathroom, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was useful while the snow was bad, but once better options outside were available for the same price, the waffles, a couple of pastries, and the same breakfast sandwich got old. Also, watch the front-in parking rule, since it’s required by Township law here or you may get fined.
I knew this wasn’t going to be a fancy hotel, but I won’t stay here again. There was an odd smell in the room, a steady drip from the shower, and cigarette smoke odor in the hallway. Breakfast might have been okay with the waffles, but there was no syrup or milk.
Housekeeping was great: professional, thorough, and quiet in the halls, with no loud conversations or doors slamming. That mattered a lot with the three-hour time difference, since I could sleep in and keep my usual routine. Everyone on staff was nice, too. I originally booked two nights for a personal matter, then added six more and didn’t need or want to move. Booking the extension was quick and simple, and the details were explained clearly. I appreciated how thorough the front desk agent was; that kind of upfront clarity made me comfortable. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces, and the in-room AC and heat worked flawlessly. The location is convenient for getting to many parts of the state and across the bridge into Philly. If I’m back this way from Oregon, I’ll look to stay at the Sleep Inn Cinnamonson again. Thanks to all the staff.
I’ve stayed here several times over the year without trouble, and the front desk worker Christopher and the woman on the morning shift were helpful. But when my BF and I came back during a power outage, several families were staying there and people spent much of the night in the hallway, visiting rooms and slamming doors around 2 or 3am. We got no sleep. At 6am, a woman knocked and told me to open the door. I said no and asked why; she said she thought I was someone else. I don’t believe that, since her family members had been in the other rooms all night. I called downstairs and the desk worker said she’d handle it, but the noise continued. I called again and spoke with manager Jose, who asked in a very nasty tone what I wanted him to do about it. Changing rooms or offering some compensation would have been options. We’d stayed before and generally had no issues, so this was a poor way to treat a repeat customer. Things seem fine until there’s a problem, then you see how nasty the manager can be. He has no business in customer service. Being able to communicate with the cleaning staff isn’t a good reason to put someone like that in a customer-facing role. They seem to care about keeping your money, not your actual stay. When I went downstairs after the call, Jose said I was a liar and that no woman had knocked, only a baby. I never saw a baby, though maybe it was near the door and I only saw the woman. Later he said it was the mother. Either way, why is it okay for someone to knock on a guest’s door at 6am after all that noise overnight? I asked for a refund and was denied. He yelled at us and told us not to come back. I laughed, because after being treated that way, why would we? A refund should have been given. I’m posting this so others know. They keep removing bad reviews because they don’t want people to see them, and I’ll keep reposting mine.
For a night or two, it does the job: the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was enough. It’s a small place in an awkward spot, and the front-in-only parking rule is silly, but it works fine for a short stay.
