Clark House Inn

My wife and I have had few stays this good. The house has such a nice atmosphere that we were tempted to stay in, but the blues clubs are an easy walk away. Our Big Daddy room was roomy and comfortable. I liked the thoughtful touches: a fridge stocked with snacks and breakfast, coffee machines set to start at 6:30 and 7:30, clearly labeled cabinets and drawers, and bottles of wine available for guests. If we return to Clarksdale, we’ll stay here again.

We only spent one night at the Clarkhouse Inn, but felt very well looked after. Hannah was easy to communicate with and super friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The house is spacious, with a couple of shared lounge areas outside the room where you can relax. We’d stay here again if we came back to Clarksdale.

What a lucky find this was. It’s a superb, well-preserved colonial-style home in Clarksdale MS, with fabulous rooms. Innkeeper Hannah was organized and super friendly. The trip south from Nashville was well worth it.

We checked in on March 28th and left on the 29th, staying in the bottom tree room in the collage at the end of the driveway. The room looked like the photo, but the carpet seemed not to have been cleaned since it was installed. The bathroom wall and floor tiles, along with the shower, also looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The room smelled stale, and there were spiderwebs in the window. It’s surprising what bleach, water, and soap could do. We only had water and a soda from the kitchen because I wasn’t comfortable with cereal in containers and a gallon of milk that anyone could access.
