I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re prepared for a new complaint every day. In both rooms I found roaches: first by the microwave and nightstand in room 206, then two on the wall in room 116. The carpet was so dirty it turned the backs of my feet black. The bathroom light barely worked and shut off every five minutes. There was only one bar of soap per day. A friend booked the first room for me. When I went downstairs to book again, I saw a sign saying no cats or service animals, only dogs with an extra $11.30 fee. It seemed discriminatory. I told staff I had a dog rather than a cat, and the taxes and fees varied each day, with totals sometimes $81.32 and sometimes $86.00. I chose room 116 thinking there might be fewer bugs and it would be cleaner. A short-haired Black employee told the front desk I had a cat instead of a dog and made me show it. They then kicked me out and told me to leave the next day. A white woman at the front desk was nosy and also told me not to walk around in a sports bra. Someone kept taking the “Do not disturb” signs off my door every day.

For the price, this is a good-sized room in a perfect spot right in the heart of Clarksville. It was clean and comfortable, and everything was as it should be.

It’s close to Wilma, with plenty of food, gas, and groceries nearby, so it works if you need a roof for a few nights. That’s about the best I can say for it. The first room smelled strongly of cat urine, but we were moved to another one without that smell. The lobby looks fancy, but the rooms are run down. The furniture was old and either falling apart or badly scratched. There was black mold in the bathroom, both exposed and visibly covered with attempts to caulk over it. A bandage was wrapped around the bathroom door, which was pretty gross. The staff seemed nice at check-in. I’m not sure the stay was worth the experience.

I paid $160 for two nights and found holes and patches in the walls, black mold in a crumbling bathroom, and filthy electrical outlets falling out of the walls. The fridge froze everything, with no way to adjust it, and I lost almost $25 worth of food. Some lights were missing, while others had holes around them. The chairs had marks that looked like urine or vomit, and the supposedly clean towels were stained. There wasn’t a “leave me alone” sign for the door. I was sitting on the bed with the curtains open and the TV on when housekeeping opened the door and started coming in without knocking. I tried calling the front desk after they left, only to find the phone wasn’t even connected. If you miss the ghetto, you might feel at home here. I’d never come back.

The staff here are amazing, and the customer service is great. Some rooms are cleaner than others, though. I wish the owner would listen to staff suggestions and put money into the rooms. The owners need to show customers that the rooms matter to them. I’d like to give five stars, but that’s up to the owner.
