Holiday Inn Clarksville Northeast by IHG

Caroline at the desk was very sweet, and Roshonda, my waitress at Burger theory, was friendly and attentive. My beer came almost icy cold, and the burger and fries were delicious. The restaurant isn't overpriced like a lot of hotel restaurants, and the bathrooms had Dove products plus thick towels and washcloths. The rooms also had Keurig makers, small refrigerators, and huge TVs with lots of channels, including one for car enthusiasts. No microwave, though I understand they can be a headache. The breakfast buffet the next morning was good, with cage-free scrambled eggs, real pork sausage, French toast, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and the usual things. The coffee was good too, and I'm picky about coffee; lots of places make it too weak or burnt. If you join the Holiday Inn guest club before checking in, you get a voucher for a free bar drink or a non-alcoholic drink and snack, plus a voucher for the free breakfast buffet instead of the usual $20. The location was quiet, our room was very clean, and the area felt safe. Hallways and elevators were clean too. The mattress was a bit stiff, but that's not unusual these days. I've spent a lot of time on the road, and this is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in for a reasonable price.

Having a restaurant in the hotel was a big help after a long day of travel. The rooms were spotless, breakfast was free and had lots of healthy choices, and everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful. One of the best hotels we've stayed at in a long time.

Everything was immaculate, and the rooms looked brand new. We slept comfortably in the comfy beds and had breakfast before heading out in the morning. No concerns at all.

Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am, but at 11:10pm the people above us had been running and jumping around for nearly half an hour, shaking our whole room. I called the front desk and got, “oh, they’re putting in a roller bed upstairs but the next time they come down, I’ll ask them to keep it down.” A roller bed doesn't explain kids jumping for 30 minutes. We were trying to sleep before attending a child's funeral the next morning. That response was unacceptable.
