Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clarksville by IHG

I've stayed at Holiday Inns all over the country, and this one is top tier. The staff were so friendly, the room was reasonably priced, and the hotel was clean. I also appreciated the complimentary cookies and the quality breakfast. After I was already a few hours down the road, they called to ask if I'd left a pair of headphones. I had, and they offered to mail them to me. My headphones have made it back to me now. 10/10 Holiday Inn Clarksville!

I removed the rock wedging the side door open three times and mentioned it to the front desk, who didn't seem concerned. The next morning, the door was propped open again. It's a good hotel, but safety and security here are a concern.

The room stayed clean and at a comfortable temperature all night. It's always nice not to have to fight with the AC. Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed extra pillows for my pregnant wife, and breakfast was warm with plenty to eat. The tub and shower drained slowly, so within five minutes my feet were often fully underwater, and the curtains didn't keep water off the floor very well. It was a nice stay in an otherwise unique destination with minimal accommodations.

The staff were kind and tried to help with requests, but they didn't have the supplies or tools to do much. The bathroom smelled moldy, and I woke up congested from it. The TV cable box sits BEHIND the TV, so you have to point the remote behind the screen and get up every time you want to change channels or adjust volume. This doesn't meet Holiday Inn Express standards. If that's what you're expecting, choose another location.
