Budget Inn Clearfield

I’ve spent a lot of nights at the Budget Inn and it’s been a really nice stay. I plan to spend plenty more here.

I stayed here off and on for several months, and it felt like home away from home. It’s a family-run hotel, and the people really care about their guests. The rooms are modest, but comfortable and clean. Easily five stars, and I can’t recommend the place enough.

Fine for an inexpensive night when you just need somewhere to sleep. The room was relatively clean and didn’t smell bad, though the sheets had a stain and looked like they might not have been washed. The towels were clean, the water pressure was good, and there was plenty of hot water. The old building showed its age, with rust on the shower curtain rod and a broken bathroom heater, though the floor was new. The office smelled strongly of urine.

It’s an older motel, but in fairly nice shape. My room was small, clean, and comfortable, and the bed was especially comfortable. The microwave and fridge worked well, as did the internet, and there was a good spot to sit with a laptop. The bathroom had bars of soap and shampoo, but there were no glasses in the room for water. There’s no breakfast, though coffee is available in the morning. No coffee maker in the room either. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.
