You can walk to stores and places to eat from here. The rooms are a good size and clean, and you don’t have to hear people in the next room or out in the hallway. Best place to stay in Clearlake.

They helped me get my car keys back, and I’ll always be grateful. I stayed here in 2013, then realized the next day that I’d left the keys at a nearby bar after leaving with an Indian girl to join her back at her reservation. The bar was closed, but the staff helped me call it so I could get the keys and leave Clear Lake.

For $160 a night, this is absurd. The hotel is ancient and sits in a very cheap area. Best Western should think about taking its name off this place. The only upside was that nobody else was staying there, presumably because of the ridiculous price.

We found a pair of Apple Earbuds under the chair and took them to the front desk for the morning receptionist, since we wanted to do the honest thing. She put them aside, but after breakfast I saw her wearing them as she walked past the desk. When I said something, she just chuckled. It would have been easy to contact the previous guests and return them. Honesty clearly isn’t their best policy.
