Waldorf Astoria Chicago

We’ve stayed at the Chicago Waldorf several times in the last few months, and haven’t wanted to go elsewhere. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, especially Hiltons, and this is one of my favorites, possibly my absolute favorite. What makes it stand out is the staff: there’s a family feel, and the luxury service never feels pretentious or robotic. We’ve enjoyed all our interactions with them. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. If you can, book one with a fireplace; it makes the place feel like home. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the spa offerings, including the gym and massage services, are great. Valet and Concierge are helpful and welcome you with recommendations for nearby food and entertainment. I especially want to recognize Nate and Anthony at the front desk, Logan from Concierge, Morgan from Valet, James, Venus, and Franky from Dining, and Pom and Vishetta (sp) from Spa, along with the many others whose names I didn’t catch on this trip. We’ll definitely be regulars.

The location in the Gold Coast was perfect, with lots of restaurants and shops close by. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and really enjoyed it. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with a staycation at Waldorf Astoria Chicago, and the front desk staff made it feel extra special by surprising us with a room upgrade. The room was lovely, with gorgeous views, and felt clean, comfortable, and luxurious. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot and would definitely stay again.

After a weekend spent “chilling,” we left Waldorf Astoria Chicago feeling relaxed and refreshed. It was a polished city retreat, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a sophisticated escape. Our stay was a wonderful mix of comfort and luxury from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed, with understated elegance and a really indulgent level of comfort. The staff came across as professional and graceful in every interaction, and made us feel welcomed and valued. A meal at the hotel restaurant was a highlight, with a lovely atmosphere and well-considered flavors.

This was my third Waldorf Astoria, and it lived up to what I expected. The entrance is beautiful, and the rooms are incredibly clean. I loved the balcony and, of course, the fireplace. Housekeeping was thoughtful and careful, and the front desk team were professional and helpful. We enjoyed brunch at brass tack and a few fun cocktails at Bernard's. Guests can also get a complimentary ride up to one mile, which is a real help with kids or when you don’t feel like walking much. I had an incredible weekend!
