Gulfview On The Beach

The staff were all awesome, and our room was clean and in good shape. For the great price, I was glad it wasn't run down like I'd worried. The beach setup was a letdown, though. I expected access to the main Clearwater Beach, where you can walk to pier 60, but it was only a small section about 50 feet wide. Still, it's a very decent hotel so close to Clearwater Beach.

We enjoyed being able to use the private beach at night. It's open 24 hours, and we stayed there until almost midnight. The hotel is close enough to walk to the pier and right in the middle of everything. All three rooms have kitchenettes, and even our room, which was listed as having no ocean view, had a partial view from the balcony. If you're not super fussy, the rooms are pretty good. I have no complaints and would recommend it.

We stayed here 1/16-18/2026 and I'd absolutely come back. The hotel costs less than the places around it, and there’s beach access to the other hotels' restaurants and bars from Gulfview. Our room and the rest of the hotel were clean, and the staff were welcoming. The pool and hot tub both worked well. Just know that some rooms face a parking garage with basically no water view. Rooms on the west-facing side have water views from the second floor up, with sunsets. The hotel is dated, and the room we had didn't have many outlets for electronics.

We had a late flight on our last day, so being able to pay a modest hourly fee to keep our room past checkout was very helpful. The hotel was quiet for the most part, even for me as a light sleeper, so I'm not sure what people mean about noise from the bar next door. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the location is great. The building itself is older, but that doesn't bother us much. We'd consider staying here again when we vacation in Clearwater. Thank you!
