We stayed two nights. The shower pressure was low and the toilet was loose. We had to ask for towels, and our room wasn't cleaned at all. It wasn't a very clean place.

The TV in the main bedroom didn't work, and the room had a strong mothball smell as soon as we walked in. There were dead bugs on the bedroom floor, and the sheets and blankets seemed disgusting. After one night, my leg looked like this in the photo I attached. I don't think the insects were bed bugs, but they definitely feasted on me. Other reviews mention dead bugs too, which makes it seem like the rooms aren't being cleaned properly. The staff don't care. If the general manager reads reviews like these, it doesn't seem like he cares enough to make even basic sanitary improvements. There are plenty of one-star reviews to look at. I can't understand how this place isn't facing some kind of sanitary lawsuit. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I paid $250 for two nights over Easter weekend, which felt expensive for what we got. The first problem was a jammed door and a major issue with the lock. Inside, the bleach smell was overwhelming. One bed squeaked whenever you moved, and the USB ports were broken. I reported both issues, but nothing was done. The next morning, there were 25 mosquitoes in the bathroom. The shower pressure was weak, the floors were dirty, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly, so I had to fix it myself. I know this is a family-owned franchise, but Choice Hotels should inspect its franchises more closely. Two stars. Stop being lazy, you can do better.

During our long stay, my child got swimmer's ear from the pool water. Wear earplugs if you use it. In my experience, when the place is fully booked, they may decide to move your whole family out of your room to make more money from storm relief workers whose vouchers pay more. If you're staying long term, take everything important with you whenever you leave the room.
