Red Roof Inn Greencastle South - Cloverdale

We were really glad we spent a night here. The staff were kind and helpful, and the very clean room had far more than we expected. It was easily the best place we stayed during our trip.

Having Gypsie with me caused ZERO hassle, and there was no charge. The place was very clean and comfortable, easily my best Red Roof Inn experience. I’d recommend it, and I’d go out of my way, within reason, to stay here again.

The room was a pleasant surprise, spacious, clean, and free of bugs, with a comfortable bed and stain-free linens. The one downside was the wet-dog smell from the carpets when we walked in. They need a good shampooing or carpet deodorizer.

The hotel was much cleaner than I expected, but a few things kept this from being a five-star stay. The driveway and most of the parking lot were covered in sheet ice, with no plowing or salt. Check-in was through a kiosk where you spoke by video to an assistant instead of an actual clerk. The photos show the kiosk rather than a person, and when I asked whether anyone was on duty, I was told someone was on call. I didn't like that setup. After my shower, I was standing ankle-deep in water because it drained so poorly, and there was nobody at the front desk to report it to. I’m attaching photos with descriptions.
