Courtyard Fresno Clovis

The breakfast was wonderful, and I’m grateful for that, but the rest of our stay was awful. My family and I have Marriott Bonvoy cards and usually choose Marriott because the hotels are clean and feel safe. This one left us very disappointed. We had trouble with the reservation, and the manager suggested I’d done this before, implying we had a pattern of not paying or repeatedly canceling. I asked the front desk for proof because I was worried my card might have been stolen. They couldn’t provide anything to support what he said. Making that claim without evidence was unprofessional. It took about six calls to Marriott, an email confirming the reservation, and another call after that email before we were assured everything was set. I had told them we’d arrive early in the morning. Even so, the man at the desk wouldn’t check us in using my husband’s card, the same one used for the booking, despite our written confirmation that the charge had gone through. Our three-year-old and one-year-old were waiting in the car in the dark. We spent around 30 minutes there while they cried from exhaustion and just wanted to get back to sleep. After all those calls and the confirmation, this shouldn’t have happened. When we brought in our bags, there was dog poop scattered across the sidewalk. The property needs to be kept cleaner. Worse, the pullout mattress had dog poop, urine, and what looked like adult stains all over it. It was absolutely filthy. I showed the desk clerk photos, and he was disgusted too. I’ve attached the pictures. Between management’s lack of professionalism, the dirty grounds, and the filthy bed, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The price is hard to beat, but I wouldn’t choose it for a family trip or vacation. Pets are allowed, and the sheets and blankets apparently aren’t washed after each guest, which made the night itchy for me. It seems okay for a business stay, though.

Nick, the airport shuttle driver, is a big part of why I enjoy coming back. I stay here often for work, and I’ve visited three times this year. Every time, whether it’s afternoon or 4 or 5 AM, he’s had the same friendly, engaging manner. He’s personable and knows the city well. The hotel itself is tops too. The rooms feel like new apartments, and they’re always clean and smell great. There are plenty of amenities from the lobby to the room. If you need a place in the Fresno Clovis area, this has everything you need.

The hotel was clean, modern, and in good shape, though I would've liked a bathtub. One little thing I especially enjoyed was the music, obscure underground stuff from the 70s through the 90s.
