Econo Lodge Clovis

The staff made this a really good stay. They let me check in early after a long night of driving, then gave me an extra 15 minutes at checkout to load my vehicle. The front desk team was friendly, professional, and accommodating. My room was in excellent shape, with newer furniture, flooring, paint, and other features. The property is clearly well cared for, and it was impeccably clean. A detailed, glowing review from someone else convinced me to try this Econo Lodge after I struggled to pick a motel in Clovis. I was unsure because reviews were mixed and most places looked older, but I’m glad I listened. This stay was a bright spot during a stressful move out of state. Econo Lodge Clovis is now on my short list for trips west. Thanks for a fantastic experience!

The waffles at breakfast were amazing, and it’s a great option for an inexpensive stay. I was surprised to find a USB port for charging a phone, since most Sleep inn and Comfort inn places I’ve seen only have outlets. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and this location was different from the smoking I usually notice at econolodge hotels. Six stars if I could!

I’d gotten tired of driving farther, so I picked this place at the last minute. It was okay, nothing special, and the room looked as worn out as I felt. It could use some freshening up. Breakfast was disappointing: anything hot had to be made yourself, there was very little room to sit, and it gave the impression they didn’t expect many people to eat there. I just had cereal.

I arrived around 3 AM, and the woman at the desk was helpful and courteous. But I spent the night waking up and getting bitten because the mattress had bedbugs. The desk clerk also said she’d returned my temporary Texas license, the paper printout I’m using while I wait for the plastic one after moving to TX. I searched everywhere and couldn’t find it. It’s 9 AM and I’m checking out. What a hell hole.
