Quality Inn Clovis

I had booked rooms for three weeks, but cancelled after a tense, unfriendly check-in. I gave the front desk my name and showed the service dogs' IDs, then was asked for more information. When I asked if there were any other issues, Lisa ignored me. She needs to learn how to greet people kindly or this motel is going to flop. I don't even want to give it a star. In Clovis, New Mexico.

After hours on the road in 100-degree heat, our room was everything we needed, and then some. The AC was quiet and worked great, the shower was hot with strong water pressure, and the service was personal, friendly, and helpful. We've stayed in Clovis several times, and the constant trains make places noisy, but this room was peaceful. The outside, lobby, and hallways looked a little shabby, yet the room itself was gleaming. It was the cleanest mid-priced place we've stayed in years, better than some pricier hotels. The reviews are all over the place, but our visit couldn't have gone better. We'll stay here whenever we're in Clovis.

The service was great, and after many stays here I'd still recommend the place and come back. This time, though, it was the worst visit I've had: there was no AC, and twice people tried to get into my room.

We checked into three rooms with our family of 10, who are used to staying at top hotels, and everyone was impressed by the lobby. The front desk service was great, the rooms were clean, and the beds and sheets were new and clean. We didn't expect the best hotel in town for the price, but for one night, it was well worth it.
