The restaurant really adds to the stay, and the setting is quiet and rustic. It’s also perfectly located, about five minutes from the Yellowstone entrance. I booked the three-bedroom suite for our family, with two queen beds and two twins. It’s upstairs in a cabin, with four bedrooms on the ground floor, which can get noisy. For the price, I expected better bedding and a better shower stall. I’m not counting TV or internet since the listing clearly said those weren’t available. I’d recommend the place, just go for the nature rather than expecting a modern cabin.

The restaurant was good and the staff were very nice, but the cabins were horribly noisy. Most have adjoining doors, and there’s no soundproofing. We could hear the neighbors talking at a low volume, as if they were right in our room. When I complained, I was told all the cabins are about that noisy. The front desk also closes before quiet hours begin, so there’s nobody to turn to if the noise becomes a problem. Management shouldn’t rent these cabins to separate parties. If they continue doing that, they should clearly warn guests that they’ll hear everything their neighbors do, even at normal volume.

We chose takeout on our first morning because staff said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes, compared with 20-25 minutes for dining in. It took about half an hour anyway. By then it was pouring, so I asked if we could eat inside. They refused because we’d ordered to go. That was really disappointing. The next morning, I ordered the two eggs over easy with bacon, fries, and a biscuit, exactly the $13.99 combo listed on the menu. They charged us for each item separately. We ordered two, and the bill came to nearly $50 instead of around $28. When I pointed this out, the waiter called the manager, who was extremely rude. I showed that my order matched the combo, but they wouldn’t correct the bill or refund the difference. She took my food away and let me leave. Completely unacceptable. Dining choices are very limited inside Yellowstone park. It felt like they took advantage of my friend not speaking English, and their attitude was hostile when we tried to sort it out. We couldn’t find local police or another authority nearby, which made the whole thing more frustrating. It felt dishonest, exploitative, and unprofessional. Customers shouldn’t be charged extra for a listed combo, denied basic courtesy in heavy rain, or have their food taken away after paying.

The cabin was spotless, the staff were all so friendly, and the view was gorgeous. It’s in a perfect spot for the East Entrance. We ate dinner salad, coffee, a latte, and breakfast at the restaurant, and everything was very good. Cabin #5’s kitchen also had plenty of pans and utensils. Thanks for such a wonderful stay near Yellowstone!

The restaurant food was very good, though pricey. That was the only good part of this stay. The room was supposed to have a queen and a twin, but the queen was really a double. It smelled like sewage and mold, and the floor by the bathroom felt like it was sinking. There was no heating or air, no WiFi, and no TV. We were cold and couldn’t sleep because of the smell. When I mentioned it at checkout, the man only said it had never happened before. For what we paid, he should have been more accommodating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unless all you want is an expensive meal.
