We liked that the rooms were clean and had hard floors, and the staff were very friendly. The room itself was fine, but the walls are so thin. We could hear every little movement from upstairs, including footsteps, toilet flushing, and especially loud showers. They leave earplugs in the room, which was thoughtful, but we found them too uncomfortable to use. If quiet sleep matters to you, I can't recommend this place. It was very, very noisy.

We came to Cody for the Christmas stroll, and ended up finding a clean, comfortable, quiet room here at a great price. Our original hotel booking was elsewhere, but we cancelled it when we weren't sure the weather would let us make the trip. We got to stay here and enjoy a nice dinner for what the other room would've cost. The rooms have been nicely remodeled, and downtown is an easy walk. Don't miss this little gem. We'll stay again.

On Halloween we arrived in Cody to find a whole town full of trick-or-treaters. The main road along Sheridan was closed, and from our spot at The Scout Inn we had a front-row view. Restaurants and bars were handing out candy everywhere. Their off season turned out to be our busy weekend. Everyone was welcoming, and The Scout felt especially inviting. It's one of the cutest, most quaint inns I've stayed in. I'd book a room there again for the “on” season, 10/10.

This place deserves more credit. It's right in the heart of Cody, with lots of places to eat nearby. The staff were really friendly and worked with us on our late check-in. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, and the whole property is clearly well maintained. I'd gladly stay here again.

We were really happy with our stay. The beds and bedding were great, and the room had thoughtful extras: chocolate mints, bottled water, darkening eye pads, and earplugs if you needed them. There was also a nice coffee cart. We got into town on Sunday after reading the reviews, and stopped by early in the afternoon to ask if anything was available. At $110 for a night, right in downtown Cody, it was already a good find. Then the woman at the front desk was simply nice. We're picky, and The Scout Inn made us very happy.
