We left after one night instead of staying the two we’d booked, and the owner refused to refund us. We can’t recommend this property. It was badly run down: the bathroom doorknob was about to fall off, there were cobwebs everywhere, candy was left under the main bedroom bed, and switching on the bathroom fan shut off the power in the bathroom. We felt completely unsafe, and no staff greeted us. The fishing hole advertised online was a tiny pond full of algae. We went to the office and found a note saying they’d be back later. There was no campfire, nothing. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I don’t want anyone else getting duped like we did. I would never recommend it.

Gavin made our two-hour horseback ride at Rand Creek Ranch a real highlight for my wife and me. He was down to earth and hospitable, answered all our questions, and shared what he knew about the area and Wyoming. You could tell he loved the work. He grew up around horses and was a guide with real knowledge and experience. The views from the top of the trail were great, and we absolutely loved the ride. If you’re a beginner, I’d recommend the two-hour trip over the one-hour option. Maybe choose the hour if you have small kids. I’ll tell anyone I can about Rand Creek, and we’ll definitely ride there again if we come back to the area.

We got lucky and joined the last trail ride of the season. Kelly led an awesome ride, and my 8-year-old says it was the best part of the trip. The horses were well looked after and very well behaved.

The trail and views were beautiful, and everyone agreed the ride was the highlight of our trip. My husband and I had never ridden before, though our kids, ages 10 and 12, had. Kelly and Gavin, the wranglers, helped us feel safe and comfortable on the two-hour horseback ride. Such an awesome experience!

This was my favorite part of an eight-day trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I really liked checking in without contact and wish we’d stayed a couple more days. It’d be even better if cooking were allowed in the cabin, and maybe I can get a discount next time, lol.
