The staff make this a positive stay. Everyone I've met, from the front desk to cleaners and maintenance, has been friendly and helpful, and I haven't encountered a rude person. They handle problems quickly, even though some of the guests aren't the best clientele. Heather, the head manager as far as I know, seems to hold the whole place together. I watched her help five people as soon as she arrived, before even taking off her coat, and she never stopped smiling. She cares about guests and making sure people follow the rules, whether they're here long term or for a quick trip. There's always a smiling face at the desk. For what you're paying, it's very comfortable and a nice value.

The front desk agent was very nice, and the cleaning woman did a great job. Staff seem to try their best with the situation, but this hotel appears to be used by Vermont to house homeless people. People were openly using drugs in the parking lot, the hallways smelled like weed, and I had to call the desk about a domestic disturbance in the hallway. You can hear everything through the walls, and a guest even asked if I was there for the day or by the hour. If you're a single man needing one night before driving on, you might be okay. I wouldn't suggest it for women or families with kids. I'd never let my mother or sister stay here. I can't wait to leave and catch my flight.

I was looking for a cheap place for a couple of nights and regret not paying more to stay elsewhere. It wasn't peaceful: the walls were thin enough that I heard everything from nearby rooms, the place smelled bad, and there were several loud dogs. There were lots of homeless people around, and I think the hotel was being used for temporary housing. The front desk staff were helpful, though not professional.

We paid for a triangular room with a matching triangular bathtub that I couldn't figure out how to get into, and the walls looked unfinished. There seemed to be a connecting door to another room, and we could hear the person there sneeze. Quiet hours were supposed to begin at 10 pm, yet children and families were playing in the hallway at 11:30 pm. A dog barking in the hall woke us around 4:30 am, and by 7 am on Sunday it sounded like someone was vacuuming out there. The parking lot had cars that clearly couldn't be driven, including one partly outside its space with a flat tire and a donut spare on another wheel. This may be a shelter. For the price, it was terrible value, and there's no way we'd stay again.

The room door was wide open when we arrived, and the pillows were in the middle of the bed. The front desk woman said that wasn't normal, but just shrugged. The hotel seems to house homeless people through some kind of public assistance. Between all the people and dogs, the smell was awful, and the staff were rude, nearly running into you with the laundry cart. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
