Everything Tae did was the only good part of my stay. My bathroom was filthy, so I couldn’t use it. The line was backed up to the back of the hotel, and I knew I couldn’t get another room, so I had to use the hallway bathroom instead. Tae was incredible: efficient, caring, and focused under pressure. Dozens of us were waiting after canceled flights, and even after the hotel ran out of keys, he explained clearly how he’d try to solve things. I don’t blame him. The problem is Holiday Inn’s management and staffing. Why leave one person working alone on such a busy night? Management should have anticipated this better. I’m in management and used to live in Atlanta. An airport hotel serving one of America’s busiest airports should have a backup plan for disruptions that must be statistically predictable and happen almost daily, especially during weather events. I know notice can come at the last minute, but the possibility isn’t a surprise. Manager to manager, I stand by my assessment. Taking this feedback seriously could improve working conditions and the experience for customers, the manager, and staff. The manager’s response was edited. I’d been notified about the first draft, which rightly praised Tae’s Herculean efforts, and it included a photo. The current version leaves that out, which tells me a lot.

Anna at the Holiday Inn Express made the stay memorable. She greeted me warmly and handled check-in so efficiently that the whole process felt easy and stress-free. She was professional, attentive, patient with my questions, and offered useful recommendations. Anna made sure I had what I needed and made me feel valued. I hope her excellent work is recognized.

Even with my flight canceled, the staff made the stay a positive experience. DJ at the front desk was patient, apologetic, and understanding, and helped me get a late checkout when I really needed one. That kind of genuine service is rare. Brenda from housekeeping was warm and kind, with such great energy. You can tell she takes pride in her work. The drivers, Mr. Thomas and Kala, were professional, friendly, and right on time, so getting around was smooth. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The people working there made it stand out, and I’d happily recommend it and stay again.

On my second stay here, which lasted four days, I had to ask for a room change because we were short on towels and had no sheets for the pullout sofa. We were told to leave the rooms by 1 pm so they could be cleaned. When we returned at 5, the work still hadn’t been done, so I called and asked them to come. They came, but didn’t change the sheets or bring extra cups or coffee.
