Travelodge by Wyndham Winchester

The location right off I-81 is perfect, and the price is budget friendly. The hotel is clearly being upgraded, and they’re doing a great job. The gentleman at the desk was awesome. Our room was very clean, with comfy beds, though one was rocky and hit the wall. I liked having no carpet and a nice darkening shade instead of ugly curtains. The microwave was clean and the fridge was cold. The bathroom fan and AC were a little noisy, but not too bad, and I heard nothing from outside the room. The hallways had a strange odor. Breakfast was free and very basic. I’d recommend it and stay again. I’d give it 4&1/2****. Wish I’d taken pictures before we unloaded and messed up the beds.

We stayed seven nights for work, and I’d come back. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast every morning included waffle makers, coffee, cereal, and toast. They allow dogs but not cats, hmmmm? The staff were friendly, and it looked like a family-owned place. They come in to clean every three days, which is mandatory and fine, but since we work night shift, being woken up wasn’t ideal. We understood and let them clean.

Travelodge was near anything you might need, and there was plenty of grass around the property to walk our Rottweiler. They put us in a room right next to the exit, and bringing her was no problem at all. The room, including the bathroom, was very clean. Great experience!

The staff were professional, and the rooms were comfortable, though dated. Fine for a night while traveling, but nothing stood out.
