The breakfast was delicious, hot, and came out fast. Jermaine, I think that was his name, was clearly busy, but still got all of us our food quickly and kept smiling. He handled it with a confidence you don’t see every day. The rest of the hotel was great too, from the rooms to the customer service. My family and I were saying “Wow” the whole time. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend it, and you can ask if Jermaine is cooking in the morning.

We come back every December because it’s clean and quiet. I wish there were a caddy or niche in the shower for toiletries. I also have allergies and would do better with unscented, hypoallergenic detergent and bedding. I had to keep taking allergy medicine. Still, it was a good stay.

There weren’t enough plugs on both sides of the bed, and the mattress felt firmer than I like. The room itself was a nice size, though the bathrooms seemed designed for smaller people. Breakfast costs $22 for the buffet, despite what they tell you at check-in about it being included. Parking is limited, so get there early or expect to park far in the back.

We were exhausted and had reservations, but the young woman at the counter ignored my sister and me for at least four minutes without even acknowledging us. She acted like we were bothering her by coming in, when all we wanted was to get to our rooms. We were visiting for our nephew’s college graduation, and she made us feel unwelcome. My well-traveled family and I won’t return. Hilton, you let us down.
