Vineyard Court Designer Suites Hotel

Lisa, who was at check-in, was very helpful and arranged a downstairs room so my mom wouldn't have to use the stairs. Thank you for that. The place was clean and had hot water, which was good. We were there during freezing winter nights, and the boiler system doesn't allow individual temperature settings. There was supposed to be a small heater, but it wasn't there, and the bed had no blanket. Thank goodness my daughter had those things with her. I would also cut back on the toxic chemical Fabuloso. It stinks, and it's not good for people with allergies.

The courtyard was a lovely surprise, and our one-bedroom suite was clean and comfortable. We liked having popcorn along with the complimentary coffee in the room, and checkout at 12 was a welcome change from the usual 10 or 11. There’s laundry on site, plus wine and cheese twice a day. The TVs have cable, and WiFi is free. My boyfriend and I booked one night at Vineyard Court Designer Suites. The furniture seemed a little dated, and he didn't like that the AC ran on a general boiler system that couldn't be adjusted in the room. There was a heater available, though. Breakfast was okay; we just wished the dining area were a little less cramped. The pool looked beautiful, but it was too cold to swim. They have a strict no-smoking policy, so keep that in mind when booking. The location was good, walking distance from stores and restaurants, and not far from the university.

Veronica, Lisa and Robin deserve credit for keeping the hospitality so warm. The Social Hour is a nice extra, and the place has a cozy feel with the basics done right. It's a beautiful gem in College Station, different from the other short stays around town. The property is up for sale, so refurbishment probably won't happen soon. You can overlook the carpet and enjoy the rest. I'd recommend it and hope an investor comes along to replace the carpet while keeping the place as it is.

Breakfast was delicious, though we didn't make it to Social Hour. We paid under $60 a night for our Band Suite, room 118, and our dog stayed free. The lobby was tidy, and the woman at the front office was nice. We were impressed by our stay. The room was clean, and I liked how the living space was separated from the bedroom. The wooden fixtures and rock floor reminded me of resorts in Bali. We highly recommend staying here when you're in CS.
