They charged a $75 deposit, wouldn't take it in cash, and required the card to be swiped because their system couldn't properly use the chip. After five business days, I still hadn't received my deposit. The front desk blamed a system error and said I'd have to wait for the manager to refund it because she didn't know how. I don't live in Colorado Springs, so I can't keep coming in to argue over money they owe me. Most Motel 6 locations don't even require a deposit. Staff clearly aren't trained to use the booking system, and my room didn't have a microwave either. I don't recommend this place.

The rate was great, $32 plus tax for the night. It's a basic budget motel, and the service was impersonal but professional. I wish they'd supplied shampoo, though I had brought my own, so it wasn't a big deal.

I'm disgusted. I called ahead to ask whether there was a deposit and how much it would be. The woman on the phone put me on hold to check, then assured me they absolutely didn't require one. When I arrived, the very same woman denied saying that to my face. Reading the other reviews afterward, I saw this seems to be a habit. What a scam.

We ended up staying much longer than the two nights I originally booked for a job interview. Bad weather delayed things, I got the job, then I had to find a rental, and the weather got in the way again. The staff went out of their way to let me keep the room and made sure I had clean linens and toilet paper. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, and they worked to keep the property safe from vagrants and well maintained. I've paid five times as much per night at Hiltons and other hotels without getting service this friendly. Dogs stay free, and staff did a good job keeping guests' dogs leashed. It's affordable, clean, safe, and dog friendly, with a kind, helpful staff.
