There are spacious rooms and plenty of nearby food and things to do, with quick access to Garden of the Gods Rd and I-25. The views are great from a Mountain View room. Still, things felt off during our stay. Getting there was confusing, since you have to go through several parking lots to reach the main strip and there aren’t clear directions, especially for turning left toward Garden of the Gods. Housekeeping never came during our stay, from Thursday evening check-in until Sunday morning checkout, so we didn’t get fresh towels or sheets. Breakfast was just okay. We ate once, at 8:30 a.m., and waited a long time for more sausage gravy after it ran out. The eggs were cold and watery. Dirty dish bins were right beside our table that day, though they were somewhere else the next morning, and the coffee setup didn’t make sense for either dine-in or takeout. On Sunday, I waited ten minutes at the front desk to check out before a worker appeared. The phone rang several times, and another attendant was waiting there too.

The room was clean and spacious, and the service has been great, but the traffic noise has made nights really hard with our baby, even with a sound machine. I asked for a room on the side away from the highway and got one closest to it instead. It is SO loud. Being near I-25 and Garden of the Gods is convenient, but the area looks run down and that doesn’t make up for the noise. As a Hyatt member, I probably wouldn’t stay here again when I’m in the area.

Marina was so friendly and kindly arranged an early check-in because my husband wasn’t feeling well. The rooms and gym are spacious. The room looked cleaner, but the carpet in the shared areas seemed quite dirty.

The only thing I felt was missing was any kind of recycling. We were also hoping for more hot vegetarian or vegan choices at breakfast, though breakfast was better than what we’ve had elsewhere. The room felt much more open and modern than I expected from other hotel chains, which we used to stay with regularly until learning they let ICE agents stay at their locations. The kids were thrilled that the outdoor pool was heated, and I liked the view from Room 417. Google reviews had made me worry the view might not be worth choosing that room. For the price, it felt well worth it.

The free breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel, and the hotel itself was modern, very clean, with spacious rooms. Staff were friendly. I’d give it five stars if not for the fire alarm on my first night. It went off at 4 a.m., again at 5, and then from 6 onward. There was a water leak, not a fire, but it disrupted most of the morning. Staff didn’t explain what happened or apologize.
