The two women I met at the front desk were really helpful. I had a problem with my room, and they handled it right away and properly. Great service, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is fairly priced and sits in north Colorado Springs, with easy highway access and lots of nearby shopping and food options. It’s still an acceptable place, but the quality has slipped since my first stay 10 years ago. The rooms are poorly lit now that the latest update removed overhead lights except in the kitchen. Even with every new light on, it’s dim. Breakfast has also declined to an enhanced continental spread with one or two microwaved hot items. And when the coffee maker at breakfast broke, there was no coffee. Offering coffee for the in room machines would have been an acceptable fix, but those use cheap single use trays, not Keurig or standard drip, and the coffee is always the worst quality.

I’m here for work and too tired to leave, but never again. It doesn’t feel clean beyond a quick surface wipe. There’s old pee buildup around the toilets, hair all over the shower walls, and some kind of overspray on the mirrored closet door. The halls smell a bit like pee when you walk in. Maybe it’s the indoor pool and wet carpet, I’m not sure. Gross.

The location had lots of nearby places to eat and easy access to main roads. I felt somewhat safer here than at places near the airport. The front desk staff were friendly, though they didn’t ask how my stay was. Breakfast was underwhelming but acceptable. My third floor suite smelled smoky and musty. Since I got in late, I was too tired to ask for another room, though half an hour later, after unpacking, I was still tempted. In the toilet and shower room, the light turned on a super loud vent fan, so I left the door open for light. The toilet had very low flow and eventually clogged. The shower itself was good, but water dripped onto a metal plate instead of a drain grate. It looked fancy, but the dripping and splashing were loud, and cold air came in through the open door. I stayed three nights and never saw the room cleaned, trash taken out, or bedding changed. The only sign of service was that the bed was partly made once. The A/C also rumbled loudly. I slept well and the place got the job done, but as someone who visits Csprings often, I won’t be back. I’m not usually so sensitive to sound, but the public dining areas had an unpleasant mix of cable news, kids’ shows, and kitchen noise.
