Residence Inn Colorado Springs First & Main

We’ve stayed here four times this year, and I strongly recommend it. During my first visit, I spent two weeks here with a family member and our pet while another family member was hospitalized. The staff, especially Judy, were kind and went out of their way to anticipate and meet our needs. The room was spacious, breakfast was incredible, and I’m coming back soon.

I’m here for work and have been enjoying my stay. The staff are pleasant, breakfast has good options, and the A/C and heat both work. My room has a good sized desk, a nice couch and dining table, plus a larger fridge and freezer and a two burner stove. There’s also guest laundry, a gym, and a pool. Great place to stay.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well set up the room is. It’s a good size, with plenty of seating, a large desk, and a pull out couch. The full kitchen has everything needed to cook and clean up after a meal, even a dishwasher.

I showed up for a scheduled two night stay and was told at the front desk that I had no room. Nobody had called or emailed me, and I’d received no warning that there was a problem. They handed me a bottle of water and a mini bag of Cheetos as a “gesture of goodwill,” then sent me to a sister property. It wasn’t a Marriott, smelled strongly of smoke, and had an elevator that didn’t work. If you expect basic service or any communication ahead of time, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
