There are quite a few restaurants and fast food places nearby, and the woman at the front desk was polite and nice. That was about all I liked. The room furnishings were trashy, with stains everywhere, and the jacuzzi jets kept cutting in and out as if something was wrong. The beds were made so poorly that the sheets came off while we slept. Breakfast was barely there: hardly enough milk for cereal and not enough waffle batter for everyone. I still can’t figure out the continental breakfast. The laundry machines are outside on the sidewalk, where anyone could come by and steal your clothes. My husband and I stayed here for the first time, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you’re stuck in the area, go somewhere else.

It’s close to Columbia Airport, restaurants, and pharmacies, and everything worked fine. Parking is limited, though, and as a woman alone I didn’t feel safe there. The lot wasn’t well lit and people were hanging around. It’s an okay place to stop for one night on the road, but the parking situation was a big negative.

There was only one room left when we arrived, so my card was charged for it. As soon as we opened the door, the room had a strong cat urine smell. My husband thought it was a tomcat marking its territory. We went back and explained why we couldn’t stay, and the man at the desk simply voided the transaction without seeming surprised. He said the money would take about five days to return to the account. It felt like he knew what we’d find and was hoping we might stay anyway. It was so gross. I never write hotel reviews, but I felt I had to so others wouldn’t have to deal with it too.

The room was run down and in bad shape. The couch was ripped, stained, and busted in, while the stained mattress had springs poking into my back. There weren’t any washcloths, so I had to bathe with a hand towel. I pulled the jacuzzi plug before bed, then woke up in the middle of the night to a floor soaked with water. The tub wasn’t sealed properly, and somehow water drained onto and saturated the carpet. The jets also kept cutting in and out while I used it. Breakfast was just sugary cereal, waffles, bread, and muffins, all of it trash food. I’m surprised I didn’t see bed bugs, which was about the only plus. For $110.99 a night, this wasn’t worth it. I wish I could post the photos I took. And excuse the name, my son linked his account to mine and that’s how it ended up.
