Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia South Fort Meade Area

It was easy to find and in a nice location. The room was clean and nice, though the toilet seat was coming loose. Aside from that, no issues.

The gym here is a favorite, roomy and well equipped with Peleton and more. We also loved the egg white fritatta. Great staff and breakfast, and we could charge our Tesla too. Thanks, Hampton Inn! 👍💯🏅⭐️

The room looked decent, but the stay was frustrating, especially because a little communication at the desk could have prevented much of it. I’ve stayed here before and was happy with check-in, the room, breakfast, and the overall experience. This visit was a letdown. Before arriving, I got an email letting me select a room and check-in time. I chose a particular room and 3:00 PM. Since I was a little ahead of schedule, I called to ask if arriving about ten minutes early was okay. The woman at the desk said it was, without mentioning a problem. Yet when I arrived around fifteen minutes before my selected time, she handed me keys to a different room on another floor. Only when I asked did she say my chosen room wasn’t ready. She could have told me on the phone or when I first got there. She also came across as unfriendly both on the call and in person, and didn’t greet me. Had I known, I could have carried on with my business and checked in later. The room I got had loud stomping and running above it, and the same occupants woke me at 5 AM. Then there were odd bubbling or gurgling sounds from somewhere, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I could also hear ordinary conversation from next door, so the walls seemed thin. The elevator rumbled and creaked enough to make me wonder if it might break down, and the bathroom had no ventilation.

The stay was pleasant, and everyone from the front desk to the kitchen staff was very friendly. I also appreciated the sulfate free toiletries in the bathroom, which worked for my sensitive skin.
