Americas Best Value Inn

The front desk staff are great, but I'm done giving this place my business. I've stayed here at least once a month before, but my belongings have tended to disappear. The roach problem is getting really bad, and renovation work brings constant noise, sometimes while you're in your room.

I called around 5 p.m. on 2-5-25 and was quoted $65 plus tax, $75.75 total. At the hotel, the total had become $81.52. When I asked the clerk why, I just got a blank look. The second-floor room had a shower and sink that didn't work, a toilet that barely worked, and tools crammed into the bathroom. The bed and pillows were extra firm, and the bedding had what looked like cigarette burns. Other guests were noisy in the hall, so I didn't sleep well. As I was getting dressed the next morning, the maintenance man let himself into my room and said he hadn't known anyone was staying there. I skipped the continental breakfast, checked out, got my receipt, and left. The new owners seem to care only about what they can charge each night. I'll avoid this hotel and tell my friends and coworkers to do the same.

Cockroaches, and an unclean, unhealthy environment. The one good thing is that they refunded my money without any trouble.

The rooms weren't cleaned properly, apparently with dirty water, and the place was disgusting. There were roaches in the walls, in rooms, and in hallways. They spray, and the fire alarms don't work. I saw children working with their parents, including six-year-olds. The woman there is rude, lets construction workers pee between her storage containers, and there's drinking and loud noise. This place should be closed. I've reported it and hope the health inspector comes and shuts it down. The service is unsatisfactory.
