Home2 Suites Polaris Columbus, OH

The location worked well for shopping, restaurants, and freeway access, and the hotel was in good shape. Our room, the lobby, and the pool area were clean. Breakfast was the weak spot: it felt disorganized, food and plates or utensils kept running out, and they advertised a featured sandwich without having everything needed to make it.

The room was much cleaner on our latest visit, even in the hard-to-reach spots around the bed, which was a relief. The lighting still feels too dim, though, and needs to be brighter. We come to Home2 in Troy, Michigan every year, so it was especially disappointing that on our recent two-night stay the whole family came away with bedbug bites. I hope the hotel keeps up the improved cleaning and makes the rooms more comfortable with better lighting.

We were on the fourth floor and it was quiet. The bed was comfortable, and our clean room had a kitchenette plus plenty of shelving for our things. Breakfast was pleasant too, with lots of inviting places to sit. The food was good, and the coffee was a real plus.

There was a full fridge, dishwasher, and sink in the room, which was handy. The staff were really nice, and the place was clean from the lobby through to our room. Breakfast had a great selection. I'd definitely recommend this particular hotel.
