Comfort Suites Columbus Airport

The service was great, easily 5/5. The building, room, and breakfast were weaker, which leaves me at 3/5 overall. The room had the look of a cheap update: odd black material around the shower installation, little hot water or pressure at 8 am, and hallway crown molding peeling away. The water issue may be from a cheap hot water system or one that wasn't updated properly. It shows when you look beneath the surface, about 2/5. Breakfast was the usual steamed eggs and sausage, waffle mix, yogurt, and toast you've seen at countless free continental breakfasts. Completely average, maybe 2.5/5.

The room and amenities were fine, and breakfast was fine too. The main trouble was parking: about 10 inches of snow had fallen the day before, and apparently no one had arranged to plow or clear the lot. With single-digit temperatures and strong winds the next morning, it was a sharp reminder of how much those routine grounds and maintenance jobs matter in the Midwest. Apart from that, it was reasonably nice for a competitive rate.

The hotel was just beautiful, and there was a nice bar area. Parking was restricted to guests, and I have nothing bad to say about the place. My ex and I checked in, then broke up that same day, so I didn't get to stay long 😄😄. From what I saw, it was awesome. I don't have a photo of the hotel, so I'm including another picture of myself 😂

They checked out the next day, and now Expedia says it can't refund me. I paid for rooms that were supposed to be clean and sanitized, but they weren't, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I'm not sure how its sanitation practices haven't gotten it in trouble. I had booked two nights for my husband and son. They arrived late and were given a room that looked as though someone had just been in it: white stains on the blue couch, stained sheets, mold all over the bathroom, and what looked like bodily fluid marks on the wall. I called the desk, and the man told me to send them down so they could move them to their best room. By then my family was fed up. There was mold in that bathroom too, plus pubic hair on the toilet seat and shower wall. It was nearly midnight, so they slept in the cleanest bed they could find, though its sheets were stained too.
