The neighborhood around the hotel isn’t great, but I’d stay here again. The staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work, and my son and I liked the room setup. It felt clean and smelled nice. Breakfast was very good, too, and the waitress was cheerful and bubbly.

The layout and room setup were good, but the property’s condition and upkeep were below any reasonable standard. Our first room was so filthy that we asked to switch. The second was better, though still dirty and smoky. It smelled like someone had lit a box of cigarettes, with cobwebs around the room. The pullout bed had no bedding in the closet despite a sign saying it was there. There was no toilet paper, and I had to fetch it from the front office because no one was available to bring it.

The front desk lady was wonderful and moved us to another room right away. The first room, though, was a complete mess: it reeked of cigarette smoke, still had the previous guests’ trash and used soap, and had no linens on the bed. The counters were gross and uncleaned, and a comforter and pillowcases were balled up on the couch. The pool was advertised as an amenity, but looked like it hadn’t been open in over a year.

I booked two rooms for me and my co-worker. We arrived around 10:30 pm. My first room was almost 80 degrees and the AC wouldn’t start. They moved me to a cooler room, but the AC had the same problem. Since it was late, I figured I’d deal with it the next day. Then I found a bathroom sink light that didn’t work, plus what looked like a crack pipe filter and pieces of Brillo Pads in the kitchen utensil drawer. I called the front desk, and the man was kind and understanding. He said I’d have a clean, cool room the next night. The following morning I learned my co-worker had also been moved and was already in his third room. The next evening I got my third room. It smelled like Indian food, the headboard hung crooked, and the tub filled about two inches before draining. On my last day, I saw red stains on the carpet beside the bed leading toward the bathroom sink area. I can’t tell if they were blood, or if blood would turn brown over time, but I was glad I’d brought flip-flops. My feet never touched the floor. People kept coming and going and smoking weed in cars. At 7am Friday, when we checked out, two black women were having a screaming match behind us. One was an employee, the other a customer accused of smoking in the room, which she adamantly denied. I just wanted to GTFO. This isn’t a business friendly hotel.
