Hilton Garden Inn Columbus

Many thanks to Supervisor Nicole Tillson for all her support. She calmly and professionally helped us with every issue we ran into. We really appreciate her help and positive energy.

The shower was dirty when we arrived, which made a bad first impression. Then we found there were only two towels for our family of five. I went down to ask for more, but was told there weren’t any clean ones. I asked again the next day and got the same answer, so we had to share those two towels for the whole stay. Housekeeping never cleaned the room during our three nights, even though we requested it twice. On the second night our daughter got sick in the bed. We told the front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned the next morning, but it still wasn’t, and we had to handle the mess ourselves. We stay at Hilton often and I’m a Diamond Member, so we expected better. This was one of our worst Hilton stays, far below the standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service we’ve come to trust.

The lobby had an unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in, and the problems kept coming. The front desk clerk was adequate, but the manager was unwelcoming and rude. She seemed upset and didn’t speak to guests, including me. The food was overpriced and didn’t taste good. At nearly $200 a night, having to pay extra for breakfast felt unreasonable. I often stay at the Hyatt when I visit Columbus because breakfast is included, but it was fully booked on this trip. The cost just isn’t justified by the stay, and I won’t return. Hilton should address the management issues at this property. I’ll be contacting GoHiton with my complaint.

We ate at the onsite restaurant, and the food came out hot and tasty. I had ribeye and fries, and my wife ordered a salad. Breakfast was great too, with the kitchen making me an omelet and home fries. It’s a clean, welcoming place, and we’ll visit again.
