The overnight staff were amazing, and everyone was friendly and kind. I picked this hotel because it’s a great location, with food within walking distance. The room, though, was disappointing: it smelled funky at check-in, there were yellow stains on the shower wall and hard-water marks on the showerhead, and there was so much women’s hair on the carpet that I had to change my socks. The room was just eh. I work in hotel hospitality, and I’m glad to praise the staff, but the rooms need some work.

There was no hot water all morning, and the manager wasn’t available to help, so we had to take cold showers. The place also feels old and out of date for a Hyatt Place. It has carpeted floors, bright white LED lights, and a small bathtub instead of a larger shower with sliding doors. It feels more like a Country Inn and Suites than a Hyatt.

Jasmine gave us great service. She checked us in, kept us entertained at the bar, and shared useful tips about the area. Breakfast was less impressive, since some of the eggs looked frozen.

We stayed here for work and YouTube content from Nov 10th - Nov 21st. The location was wonderful and the staff were friendly. It got a little loud on Thursday and Saturday nights because Texas Roadhouse is next door, though it wasn’t an issue for us and might bother someone else. We were on the 4th floor, last room on the right after turning left from the elevator. The housekeeper did a wonderful job.

We came with our children for a swimming competition and had a great time. The staff treated us well, and breakfast was included in the room rate, with hot eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, and several other options. I wanted a clean, quiet place for my family, and Hyatt Place Columbus North had what we needed. The pillows and bed were soft, the bathroom was clean, and the water temperature was just right. The hallways and elevator had no odor. The pool and gym were small, but they worked well enough for a short stay.
