The pool itself is nice, though it gets so loud in that hollow room that I ended up with a headache. My daughter didn't want to stay long either. If noise bothers you, bring noise-cancelling earbuds, and a quieter room might be on the fourth floor, toward the end. The pool area feels too small for all the sound to escape easily, even though the kids having fun is understandable. I was glad the staff moved me when the smell of cigarettes and marijuana was overwhelming from the parking lot through the elevators and hallways. I'm very allergic to smoke, and the odor was so strong that I thought people might be smoking in the rooms. I can't say whether they were. The front desk women were all kind and patient. One handled a difficult guest with remarkable calm, and she was also patient with me over a check-in issue that wasn't the hotel's fault. I had no other problems with staff, cleanliness, or the help I got. The room was cold even with the thermostat set to 78. It never got above 72, and cold air kept blowing. Turning the unit off didn't help for long because it restarted on its own, and there was no way to use heat without the fan. I bundled up rather than ask for another room. The bathroom was freezing too. I can't sleep in a robe and coat just to stay warm, so if another room has the same system, I wouldn't come back. I used to enjoy hotels, but all the smoking around them has made that harder. Also, there was no smart TV or Roku, just basic cable. Bring your own Firestick or Roku if that matters to you. I was annoyed by that. I'd consider another visit only if I could get a tucked-away room on the fourth floor, though the heating issue could put me off entirely.
