Motel 6 Columbus, OH - OSU

We got beds that were only made, not clean. One had sticky stuff all over it, like the sheets hadn't even been changed, and there was leftover hair in the shower and not enough towels. My husband found a king bed available around 6 or 7pm. I called to confirm the room I wanted, but when he got the key, it was for a room with two full twins, even though the king was still available.

The owners should be embarrassed. I paid $160 for one night in a smelly, gross, filthy place, and had to buy cleaning supplies just to use the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting, simply unbelievable, and the worst experience I've had at a national chain hotel. Never again.

I booked for March 30th because this place was near the facility where I'm working, and the room had a microwave and fridge when nearby places didn't. But the online pictures don't match what it looks like. The first room was dirty and smelled like cigarettes, so the front desk guy switched me. The second room still smelled of smoke, the shower was barely lukewarm, and the microwave and fridge weren't very clean. I was too tired to find somewhere else, so I stayed and bought room spray and disinfectant at a local store to clean things up. You get what you pay for, so don't expect much from a Motel.

The first key they gave me didn't work, and the bathroom in my room wasn't clean. WiFi was out, and the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. I didn't hear the obnoxious noise other people mentioned, though I ran the room's constant fan to cover the sounds coming through the thin walls. The location is excellent, close to everything. I often have medical procedures nearby, but I don't think I'll come back to this hotel.
