Commack Inn

I was nervous about staying in a motel since it had been nearly fifteen years, but I needed somewhere close to my new job for a night. The place looked refurbished when I walked in, which was a nice surprise and put me at ease. There’s no breakfast or much in the way of services, but for a day or two to rest and reset, I’d stay again.

I showed up with low expectations, but Madhavi at the front desk changed my mind. Even at 1 AM she had a great attitude, explained the short-stay option and saved me some money. She also told me about the newly renovated rooms, which were clean and nice for a quick stay. I’ll come back and give the motel my business because of her. Thanks again, Madhavi.

After driving all the way from Louisiana through the nor’easter, I just wanted to see my brother, who was staying there Sunday and Monday. The three of us arrived together, and a man pulled up in a van and said only I could stay. The other two were my ride, and they’d driven with me, but he was rude and disrespectful and told my brother he’d lose his reservation. We left. He then kept harassing my brother for more than 45 minutes. I called to ask for a manager and was told one wouldn’t be in until 8 AM. The man in the van said he was the owner, though. I can’t recommend this place, and I wish I could give zero stars. That was heartless and unprofessional.

The staff were so rude. At check-in I said there were two of us, then two men came knocking on our room aggressively. When I asked why, they said visitors weren’t allowed. I left, but they refused to give me a refund.
