Hampton Inn Commerce

The staff were friendly, and we had no issue with them. Still, after six nights, the breakfast choices only rotated between two options. The rooms are tiny, with modified cabinets and wire racks for clothes or food, plus hangers behind a curtain on the wall by the window. The AC was very loud, and I really don't like the barn-door bathroom door. We agree this is the worst Hampton Inn we've stayed at. Next year we'll pick a different Hilton brand.

I had to leave after two days because the air in the hotel made me sick. My throat was sore, my nose was clogged, and my chest was affected. I went to the Holiday Inn across the street and the problems went away. The ventilation and cleanliness here need serious attention, and I can't imagine the conditions are safe for anyone's health. I've traveled full time for work for four years, and this was by far the dirtiest Hampton Inn I've stayed in. In the first room, carpet covering more than half the floor was soaking wet. My socks got drenched as soon as I took my shoes off, and the bathroom floor was sticky and slick. In the second room, the AC wouldn't stop running, even with the thermostat switched off. The air overall felt nasty and moldy.

The rooms were clean, but very worn and dated. The front desk staff were nice, though housekeeping seemed seriously understaffed. The property could use a renovation and some upgrades.

We often stay at Hampton Inn because we travel a lot, but our stay at the Commerce, GA location was a big disappointment. There were french fries on the floor when we arrived, and both the carpet and other floors felt sticky, beyond what humidity would explain. The trim around the shower, sink, and tub wasn't clean either. For the price of a king room, this fell well short of what we'd expected from this hotel and our past stays.
