They cancelled my reservation, which I’d made directly on the motel’s website. The man said he’d “do me a favor and waive the deposit,” took my card and ID, then put them into a machine I couldn’t see or access. He demanded that I tell him my PIN out loud without explaining why or even giving me a total. After I said no several times, he demanded cash, again without explaining anything. I walked out. Now I’m calling my bank to make sure the cancellation went through and there are no fraudulent charges. I’ll also call the franchise’s corporate office and recommend that they pull its license.

Roaches, stains, and residue. I found a roach under my pillow, so I ended up sleeping in an armchair with a towel over it. When I mentioned it to management at checkout, they were upset that I hadn’t called in the middle of the night. After reading other reviews, I assume the rooms are similar. I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for, and would urge anyone to consider spending more somewhere else before staying here.

I booked a room last minute through hotel.com for a friend. I listed him as the person checking in and paid on my card under my name. When we arrived, the man working was rude from the start, yelling that he couldn’t give my friend the room because it was against the law for the guest’s name to differ from the payer’s. It isn’t, by the way. I had my ID and the card I used, but he still refused to honor the reservation and threatened to call the police. hotels.com wouldn’t refund me because the hotel refused to credit the payment back. I lost $82. I don’t recommend these scamming thieves.

I booked two nights because I work at the hospital down the road and, with the recent ice and snow storm, didn’t think I could get back to work in the mornings. At check-in, a woman and man behind me were arguing. She started yelling at him and even hitting him, less than two feet away from me. I was alone, uncomfortable, and felt unsafe. The room was filthy, with stained sheets and bed frame, hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor, and grime everywhere. I wouldn’t shower there. I’d been in the room less than an hour and a half when I heard the same woman screaming, and decided to leave. I called the Comfort Inn across the street, hoping they had a room. The guy there was so nice and got me one, and I said I’d walk over right away. When I checked out of Days Inn, the manager asked why. I said I didn’t feel safe staying there. He was incredibly rude and said, “that woman has mental health issues and since you are a nurse you should understand that”. I repeated that I felt unsafe and uncomfortable and didn’t want to stay. I asked for any kind of refund since I’d booked two nights, explaining I’d only booked there so I could get to work safely for the next two days. He refused. I didn’t push further because I was exhausted after work and just wanted sleep. It was about 10 p.m.; I’d checked in around 8:30. I lost over $200 for two nights I never used. I don’t recommend this place. When I told my boss the next day, she said she would have warned me not to book there, and the hospital doesn’t recommend employees stay there.
