We slept with the window open and barely heard any traffic, since the hotel sits back from the highway. The room was spotless, with a king bed, crisp white sheets, and a really comfortable mattress. It’s pet friendly even if you have a cat, which is rare and great. They charged my EV for free, and in the morning there was fresh coffee and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, showing me around and explaining where everything was. There’s even a proper pool. Under $90 for all that is easily the best value I’ve found. I’d absolutely come back.

I’d already paid for the room in advance, but the website never mentioned a $100 deposit. That left us with nowhere to stay after we’d paid. I’ll never stay at another Comfort Inn.

The rooms and service are great, and the front desk staff are excellent. The issue is that the manager lets guests smoke weed in their rooms. There’s a sign saying smoking cigarettes or weed in a room means a $250.00 fine, but the rule isn’t enforced. I’ve asked three times for the weed smoking next door to stop, and it keeps happening. My neighbor is clearly smoking in the bathroom, and the secondhand weed smoke fills mine.

We’ve stayed at lots of Best Westerns and like the chain, but this location was very different. When we arrived last night, three police cars were in the parking lot and officers were leaving as we checked in. The clerk was evasive about why, but said it had something to do with the pool being temporarily closed over a holiday weekend. We always pay with Best Western gift cards, but he didn’t know how to process them. After we’d settled into our room in pajamas, he called after 11 p.m. and asked us to bring a credit card to the lobby. The hotel was clean but run down. There was a strong cigarette smell in the hallway by the elevator despite the No Smoking signs, and it was just as strong in the morning. Our nightstand was so sticky that things stuck to it. The full-length mirror was gone from the bathroom door, leaving ugly glue marks, and the TV had no remote. We went down for breakfast at 9 a.m., but any grab-and-go food that might have been offered had already been put away. The fees and taxes were shocking: a quoted $79.15 room came to $102.68. We’ll keep staying at Best Westerns, just not this one.
