I’ve never left a negative review before, but my family’s experience needs to be shared. My wife, our two kids, and I had booked and fully paid in August for a two-night stay tied to a wedding. We arrived Friday around check-in time and were told that night’s room was out of order, so the stay had been cancelled. No one had emailed, called, or texted us to say so. It was spring break in Miami, and the hotel gave us no help finding somewhere else. I managed to find a nearby room ourselves. Thesis hotel staff assured us that our Saturday room would be available, with early check-in and late checkout to make up for the trouble. On the wedding day, we called ahead to say we’d arrive at 1 pm and were told the room was ready. When we got there, it needed at least another 1.5 hours. Within 30 minutes, we learned they had no room for us after all and couldn’t honor the reservation. We were left without a hotel just two hours before the wedding. The manager wouldn’t even help us find another place. When we checked into a Hyatt that Saturday night, their staff told us Thesis was notorious for overbooking and had already tried to find 20 rooms for them to cover that night. This place is a complete train wreck.

Fernando and his concierge team made our family feel at home from the moment we arrived at THesis Hotel Miami. Everyone who helped with the luggage was caring, and Fernando gave us family-friendly suggestions that were all a hit. The hotel itself was lovely, with beautiful decor, spacious rooms, and a pool our kids enjoyed. We also had a fantastic breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. It’s an easy drive to several great Miami neighborhoods, and we can’t wait to come back.

Kevin, Fernando, Janay, and Diva made us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. They were attentive, kind, and professional, and their dedication to great service made the experience memorable. We had an amazing visit from beginning to end and will absolutely come back. Highly recommend this hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The room, drinks, and hotel were lovely, and everyone working there was very nice. I was in town for business at the law school and picked this hotel because it looked peaceful and was the best option for walking to campus. I was already reluctant about the steep nightly price, but expected a good night's rest for it. Staying near the elevator meant hearing people literally scream right outside my room late into the night. I understand sorority recruitment was happening, but the voices were both male and female. I wish the hotel had placed me farther away, knowing I needed sleep. The front desk moved me the next night after I raised the issue, which was a nice gesture, but also a hassle. Half my stay was still badly affected. Then a charge I wasn’t expecting showed up on my credit card statement yesterday. I’d confirmed at check-in that I had paid all fees when booking, but when I called, I was told there had been a miscommunication and a destination fee is charged each day. I don’t object to the fee itself; it was the surprise and poor communication that bothered me. I can’t fully recommend the hotel for someone looking for quiet sleep and a clear bill, given the first night and the extra charge. I might choose somewhere else next time unless the hotel replies to my email or reaches out with some gesture to make me feel the issues were addressed. For now, I’m still giving it four stars because the hotel has good points, and what matters depends on what you want from your stay.
