Econo Lodge

We were passing through and needed somewhere to rest, but we left and found another place. We booked two king rooms, and both had bugs on the floor and beds. The floors hadn't been mopped, and the AC didn't work in one room. We were put at the very back of the building by ourselves. It was creepy back there, and it looked like homeless people lived there. There was even a toilet sitting outside one of the rooms. A horrible experience.

For a cheap two star hotel, the rooms were about what you'd expect and the stay was adequate. There were plenty of towels, a bar of soap, and dish cable. Breakfast had Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, Honey Buns, and waffles, though I would have liked more variety than a rundown cereal station. The pool was a nice extra, even though I didn't see anyone use it during our stay. It also felt awkward that the owner could see the breakfast area the whole time we were eating.

I paid an ungodly amount for a week and still felt the room left a lot to be desired. There were stains and shampoo splatters all over the bathroom door. The staff weren't very friendly, and I had to track housekeeping down for clean towels. Don't trust the quoted price. They charged me double and said I hadn't paid a deposit, even though I know I paid one when paying cash. We switched to Motel 6, and it was heavenly, so clean, high end, and much cheaper. I wish I hadn't spent my money on Econolodge.

The room was really clean and comfortable, although a bit small, and I love the new flooring. The tubs could use a better resurfacing job for appearance. Water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water. The evening and day desk clerks were awesome, accommodating, funny, and friendly.
