Radisson Hotel Corning

They had music last night, and the hotel itself is nice. But the hot water stopped working, so we couldn’t shower before leaving. Breakfast was pretty skimpy: eggs, potatoes, bacon, fruit, no toast, and just one Danish. I’ve seen much better.

It was easy to walk from the Corning Radisson to a wide range of restaurants, and the Corning Glass Museum was close enough to walk to, though we drove there. When we checked in, my wife enjoyed a glass of local wine. We also drove to Watkins Glen and Bristol Mountain to take in the beautiful fall weather. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back in the near future.

We were there for a business meeting, and had to ask for the conference room to be tidied, paper towels for the bathrooms, old water glasses from the previous day to be cleared, and fresh water for the next day. Several of us found ourselves coughing while we were there. The hotel has been under renovation for years because of roof problems; even the renovated room I had smelled very strange, and I’m sure there’s a mold problem. The dining room roof still has leaks. It’s an economy-style stay without an economy price. The location is very good and food service is available on site, but this still wouldn’t be my first choice.

Aubrey at the front desk was the kindest and most helpful hotel staff member I’ve ever dealt with. My kids and I came with my friend and her kids during February school break, and we had an incredible few days. The hotel is perfectly central for getting to lots of things. I’d recommend it to anyone. It was a really great experience.
